I have always been drawn to two things: wildlife and technology. When I realized I could combine my passion for conservation with my full-stack development skills, Animal Detect was born. I believe that the best conservation tools shouldn't require a computer science degree to use. They should empower researchers to focus on what matters: protecting biodiversity.
Before diving into this project, you'd often find me heading into the forest with just a sleeping bag, even during those chilly Danish winters. There's something about being outdoors that clears my mind. I am a lifelong animal enthusiast and proud cat dad to two little wildlings who keep me grounded. If there is a trail nearby, I am probably already planning when to hike it.
Building Animal Detect has been my way of merging everything I care about: my love for wildlife, my passion for creating intuitive tech, and my drive to make conservation work a little easier. Seeing researchers use our platform to protect endangered species makes all those late nights coding completely worth it.

I am fascinated by what AI can do when it meets real world challenges, especially in conservation. As the AI lead at Animal Detect, I spend my days pushing the boundaries of computer vision, building algorithms that can actually handle the messy, unpredictable conditions researchers face in the field.
My goal is simple: create AI that works where it matters most, not just in perfect lab conditions. I want our technology to be powerful enough to make a difference, but practical enough that conservation teams around the world can actually use it.
Outside of work, I traded city life for something quieter. I walk my dogs through the forest trails, and my backyard camera trap keeps an eye on the local birds. Living with three cats, two dogs, and the peace of nature gives me constant inspiration for the AI models I build. I am not trying to replace what conservationists do, I am here to give them tools that amplify their incredible work protecting endangered species.
